Staging Area: Spring Street, Middletown, CT
March Route: Down Main Street, Middletown, CT (north to south)
End of March: Intersection of Main Street and Union Street. 

Thank you all for your patience as we finalized the listing of Pride Marchers and your lineup locations.  Attached you will find the docs related to our respective lineup division, our lineup street and the general rules & regs for some reminders.

Check in/ arrival

In general, check-in for the march will be located on the front lawn of MacDonough School. Only one member of your group should check in at MacDonough School upon your arrival, no need to have your entire group walk over to the check in area!

• Vehicles and large floats should plan to arrive for 11:30 a.m. to allow them to park on the side of the street in preparation for the marching groups to arrive.
• Marchers should arrive between 12 and 12:30 p.m.
• The march will begin at 1:00 p.m. SHARP, so don’t be late!!!

Streets will be congested leading up to and surrounding the march lineup, so plan to arrive/ be dropped off earlier than you would anticipate. High Street is the main street of travel for the entire area surrounding the march, so expect delays.

Rally points for larger groups

• Group who are meeting on-site, can use these areas to assemble before moving into Pride March order.   Assembly only – do not park cars in these areas.  Drivers dropping off participants should use High Street and Stack Street to enter the marshaling area.

If you plan to march with another group, please meet up ahead of entering your designated street as the order you arrive is the order you will march in. We are unable to move groups around on their designated streets after arrival.

• When you receive your designated lineup street, please note that the order you are listed is not the order you will march in- you will march in the order that you arrive to your designated street.

Parking info

The march will travel the entire length of Main Street meaning that there is not one central parking location for participants. Public parking lots are located at the following:

• Kidcity lot off of Broad St
• Russell Library lot off of Broad St
• Melilli Parking lot next to City Hall

DO NOT park in the Metro Square Movie Theater Lot!!!!!

General event reminders

• The march is about ¾ of a mile long, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring water/ sunscreen!!!
• A little reminder: if you are passing out candy, giveaways, etc. please pass them to folks along the street- do not toss from the middle of the street. We have found that when marchers throw candy/ goodies to the spectators it unintentionally encourages people to begin crowding the street creating a funnel, and we would hate for someone to get hurt collecting candy!
• Portable toilets will be located in the back parking lot of MacDonough School. We will have standard and accessible portable toilets in place.
