Elections are soon. Legion is unable to process All-Member Email Spams without risk of being rate limited by our provider. We can mail Council, however. We know that most of you already keep your units informed during Elections and that is most appreciated.

As always, we rely on proper flow of information per our OP, however in this cycle it is crucial because there will not be email support directly from Legion in the form of mass spam. Please continue to alert your members to each phase of the Election Cycle in whichever manner makes sense for your unit.

Congratulations to me...

I appreciate everyone's participation in the election cycle this past season. I want to express my thanks to Legairre for his attitude and effort this last year and through the election cycle.

I'm shuffling things around just a little this year and the new command staff will be posted sometime this week.

We have a good year in front of us. our calendar is filling up and we have some great marquee events coming.

Lets get active and hit this year hard.

I'm looking forward to leading the garrison into 2025 and thank you to everyone for your support.

It's that time of year again; the Legion Census is here!

How To -- Census

Per Section 2.1 of the Operations Protocol, completion of the 501st Legion census is required for Active Members, with the exception of unit or Legion Commanding Officer discretion.

Here are 3 ways to find the census:
1. If you are on a PC/Mac -- While logged into the 501st Forums, go directly to the Member DB: https://www.501st.com/holocron/member/legacy within the Holocron. Sign in with your 501st Forum credentials and click, "CENSUS".

2. If you are on a phone/tablet -- While logged into the 501st Forums, click the QUICK LINKS hamburger menu in the top right of the forum and select, "Holocron". Sign in with your 501st Forum credentials and click, "CENSUS".

3. While logged into the 501st Forums, go to the Holocron: https://www.501st.com/holocron. Sign in with your 501st Forum credentials. Click the hamburger menu in the top left, select, "LEGACY MEMBERDB", and click, "CENSUS".

*Note: You must be signed into BOTH 501st Forums and the Holocron to access the Census area. If not, you will receive a login error screen.

Once in the Census, you will scroll to the bottom and complete the sections. Click, "SUBMIT" and you're done for that year's Census

You can also take a look at the Census Stats for all 501st units by clicking, "CENSUS STATS" in the left menu.

---All Active Members Are Required To Fill Out The Census To Maintain Active Status---

If you do not fill out the census by the October 31 deadline, your account status will be moved to Reserve on the forums and the MembershipDB!

2024 and Beyond

This is officially my first post as your Garrison Commander for 2024

This has been a unique experience for me. My previous two years were walkover elections. I was unchallenged and with that comes a certain level of complacency and happiness with the status quo. After all, when nobody opposes you, you end up getting a certain sense of "I must be doing a fantastic job"

Ray did us all a favor by putting his hat in the ring for these elections. I think this process truly reinvigorated the Garrison and made us all pay better attention to "What can we do better" and it's an acknowledgement that the status quo, though easy and apparently functional enough, may not be the best route for us to take for the future of the the club.

After what is likely the most respectful election the Legion has ever seen, I come away humbled by the support of our membership and inspired to do better as your Commander.

The next several days will be review and finalizing the 2024 command team which will be announced separately.

I'm very much looking forward to this year and what we can accomplish together to keep our garrison successful. I'll be looking to not only my command staff, but to every individual in the garrison for help with how we can do better as a group and strengthen our little club even more.

Thank you again for your continued support. Now it's time to live up to expectations.

LEGION GUIDELINES ON RUSSIAN/UKRANIAN CONFLICT

For those not active on detachment or legion boards, the following guidelines about posting/tagging etc has come from Legion.?? @Alay passed the message to the command team so I'm passing it to the rest of you for informational purposes

FROM LEGION:

"I apologize ahead of time for this incredibly difficult post. Out of respect for our members, we ask that Detachments do not schedule posts featuring either the 501st Ukraine or 501st Russia Outpost until further notice.

We also ask that all units do not feature realistic military-type photos at this time. Examples: mimban officers, mudtrooper, heavy combat, Kashyyyk, tanks/military vehicles etc. Please use common sense.??

Please keep all members in your thoughts"

This post is more to do with Garrison/Detachment postings but when posting with your costume online remember that you also represent this Garrison and the legion as well.?? Please use proper discretion.

You can now add event calendars to Microsoft Outlook or any other program that supports the iCal format!

Simply go to our Calendar section, in the drop down pick the calendar you want to add, and click the gear.?? From there, select "Subscribe to iCalendar feed":
