  4. Goggles are next of my task list. ??Mine were cast in the kit from Jim Tripon but I think there are 3D print files available if you just want to go that route. ??
  5. Ok made some progress over the last week. ?? Learning as I go as well. ??I???m leaning heavily on the Mudtrooper group on Facebook. They have been very helpful. ??
  6. Yeah I am going to love making this look dirty. I know I need to make the bucket sit a little lower on my head. But I???m happy. ??
  7. Thanks. ??I???ve already got the CRL printed out and treating it like a sacred text. Ha ha ha. ??I???ve started the process but f getting things primed and painted. ??One thing that is really great about this kit is that it???s supposed to look like it???s been through a war so I???m not stressing over mistakes in paint. ??
  8. I got a chance to lay out the entire kit I got from Jim (except the soft goods.) Wow there are lots of pieces.??
  9. Thanks for all the support and encouragement. ??I???m already getting help from the groups on FB and have been in touch with some very helpful people. Now the hard work begins. ??
  10. Thanks. I have been taking advnatage of the MudTrooper Builders group on Facebook. They have been a huge help so far.
  11. Ok Everyone, Here go nothing. I figured it was time to start this thread. I've only got?? a few things as of not but I wanted to let you all know I am working on this.?? I've ordered an armor kit and now i'm waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for it to arrive. I've been told it should ship out on Monday.?? ?? The only actual work I've done so??far is to remove the logo tag from the gloves. Evidently the tiny holes left by the threads are actually screen accurate. This weekend I am planning on dyeing my plash black. Lou
  12. Hey Everyone,?? Lou Here, I wanted??to get an idea of who will be heading to Celebration this April. I know I will be there for all 5 days with some of my podcast cohosts. If all goes well this will be my first Celebration??with a cosplay, providing I make as much progress as I expect to on my MudTrooper build. What are everyone's plans?
  13. Well, it's taken a few months longer than I thought it would but the CRL has finally been released for the Mudtrooper. I guess it's time to get serious. I've been doing some research and picking up some small items along the way. I think I'll probably pull the trigger on a kit this week and then try to pull this all together for Celebration Chicago.?? Wish me luck. I'll also start a build thread soon so you guys can keep me on the right path.
  14. Hey everyone.?? Thanks for the warm welcome. I???m excited to be here. I???m a little intimidated too but it was nice to meet so many welcoming people at the builders part last weekend.?? Im just starting to do research into a Mudtrooper build and I???m sure I???ll have many many questions. ??I probably won???t do too much until the CRL is official for the Mudtrooper. At least I won???t spend too much in the way of $$$ so I don???t have to spend more later. ?? ?? A little background on me. ??I???ve been doing a Star Wars Podcast for about 6 years now. I was involved with the Forcecast and TheForce.net until just after Celebration Anaheim where we had a podcast stage setup in the middle of the autograph hall. Now I run a smaller network with some other guys.?? Well, back to work for me now. I see I have some reading to do after work now.?? Lou
