WEAPONS AND FACEPAINT AND HELMETS: Star Wars blasters: they should be fine to bring on base. Security's rule has been that any weapons brought on have to be "obviously fake". Members who came on base in 2013 brought their blasters, no problem. Security's rules for our first SubComiCon, last year were 1. All weapons must be obviously fake, and 2. When approaching the Main Gate, no one's face can be covered in a mask, or completely painted. The guard has to be able to compare the person's face with their id (ie. Driver's license.)

Comments: Second annual Library event: SubComiCon is the Subase Library's event celebrating comic book and pop culture! It comes at the end of area schools' spring break week, supporting Navy families from all over the nation, who serve on submarines, and are in Submarine School. An event to support our Navy families! We would have a Star Wars theme this year, with your appearance.

??

Referred by: Website -- You visited our Library as special guests at the end of our Spring Break week of events at the Library in 2013.

??

I sincerely hope the 501st can be part of our event! It meant a great deal to our Navy community in 2013, and it will be very special to families, children and sailors this time as well. Navy families endure long separations from loved ones during deployments, and frequent moves all over the country and the world. Our job is to bring special experiences like this to them. Thank you for your willingness to be a part of this.
