Hi everyone!??I'm Kate, local director for Saber Guild Kessel Temple, and we've been invited back to the Bristol Mum Festival! This is a 2-day event (9/25-9/26) and on Saturday we'll be running a booth in the Kids Zone from 12PM-6PM, and on Sunday we're marching in the parade. We would LOVE for anyone here to join us! We??will be getting a nice donation from the festival in return for our appearance (donation will go to the Ronald McDonald House of CT).??

    ??

Rebel Legion Event Info: ??All event personnel will enter from Riverside Ave to Riverside Ave Ext, and will be directed to the event location. We will be in the KIDS ZONE (Brackett Park) and our contact is KARL TACK (can also ask for Jason Fields, or Jack). When you arrive just say you're here to unload for KIDS ZONE. We will unload in KIDS ZONE/Brackett Park. Parking is at the Wheeler Clinic, which is next to the KIDS ZONE. Or you can use General Parking across from City Hall oin North Main St. There is also a small area for entertainers and musicians behidn the main stage on Hope St. We will have 2, 20x20 tents, one for changing and one for our booth. The Command tent will have food and water for the day. Bring your own snacks and water for the tent so you can ensure you're staying hydrated! NOTE: For Saturday there will be cosplayers attending on my invite. They will share the changing tent with us and are allowed to us our tent as a "homebase". Some of our handlers may be put on helping them if needed. By sharing our space with the cosplayers we will be able to secure and even larger donation from the festival.

?? ??This would be a new event for us. Its a 3 day event similar to a comic con but we'd start by doing just the Saturday to get a feel for it and see how it runs. It may be an outdoor event, which I am checking on but a changing area looks to be available. We do not have a set time to troop and could consider shifts depending on member attendance but could consider a set block of time as well. I will update as I get more information!

    Hey all!??

This is actually where I work as a custodian.?? So I'll be the one setting everything up. I don't know yet if I have to be on the clock to work this event, so I can't say if I'm trooping or not.??

Hey Mathias! I almost forgot that you worked here! They mentioned you in their request to us. Right now, we have Ezra going who is down the street but we have no one else signed up. tell them to give you the afternoon off and help Ezra out and troop!??

"Wishes on Wheels, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization made up of passionate and hardworking volunteers committed to a shared goal - to organize a family-friendly truck convoy and event to bring together families, friends and community members to support children with life-threatening medical conditions. Dozens of local Wish Kids look forward to Wishes On Wheels as an annual tradition that simply can't be missed. Many of the truck drivers volunteer to have Wish Families ride along with them during the Convoy. When the Wish Kids arrive, they carefully select the truck they will ride shotgun in during the Convoy or search until they find "their truck" from the previous year. Upon return to Rentschler Field in East Hartford, there is more fun, food and festivities to help raise money for this important cause."

Hey All! We've been invited back to Wishes on Wheels Truck Convoy happening again on September 19th!??The??CTG??has done this event for many years. ??We would aim to get to Rentschler Field by??8:30-9AM??as it becomes harder to gain access to the event after that??and be dressed up ready to interact with kids and families as they get back around 10-10:30 am.??Crowds usually die down by 1:30/2:00pm. Parking is free and on-site for volunteers. There is an entrance to the field off of Silver lane across from Simmons road. Tell them you are a vendor and you will be guided ??in.Blasters are fine. The event coordinator let us know they should have a tent to change in in privacy in addition to a 10 x 20 tent for shade and comfort.????This is??a great event and one you won't want to miss!

  8. Good Evening Everyone! As we are now a week away from this event, here are the logistics and special instructions for you below! This will be a fun event and I am looking forward to seeing you all!

    ??

    Arrival/Parking/Check-in:

The New England Air Museum is located at 36 Perimeter Road in Windsor Locks, CT. Please follow the below driving directions (not your GPS else you may end up at the arrivals terminal at Bradley International Airport). When you reach the museum, please pull into the smaller, side parking lot and proceed through the open chain link fence gate on the right side of that building. Museum staff will be on hand to guide you to exhibitor parking areas. Exhibitors must unload and park in the designated exhibitor area behind the gate as parking is at a premium for visitors during this event. Thank you for your cooperation! The gate will close at 9:00am but can be opened as needed.

    ??

All group members must arrive/check-in with museum staff at the designated check-in location between 7:30-8:30am.This location is marked with a blue star on the attached Floor Plan. You will be given a blue wristband to wear throughout the event which will notify our staff that you are a member of the 501st/R2D2 Club and therefore have access to our staff/volunteer break room in the B-29 Hangar classroom.??

    ??

    Break Room/Lunches:

Your groups will have access to our staff/volunteer break area located in the B-29 Hangar classroom for the duration of the event. You???re welcome to store costumes, trunks, etc. in this space as well, though please do know it will be accessible by our team members. Please help yourself to the buffet breakfast treats, lunch, and water you find there. Additional food and beverage will also be available for purchase at our Kane???s Market Food Court on a cash only basis between 10:00am-3:00pm. The Food Court will once again be in the lobby this year. ??

    ??

    Event Schedule:

SPACE EXPO will begin at 9:00am and run through 3:00pm, with the museum closing at 4:00pm. A copy of the Event Schedule is attached here.

    ??

    Appearance Schedule:

Your appearance times in the Military Hangar (in front of the F-104 Starfighter) will be as follows: 9:30-11:30am and 12:30-2:30pm. You will be free to leave after your last appearance time ends, or you???re welcome to enjoy the event as visitors???if you???re not too exhausted!

    ??

    Mask Policy:

The museum currently requires anyone who has not been vaccinated for COVID-19 to wear a mask/face covering while indoors. That said, characters with helmets/costume heads are not required to wear masks as we want you to breathe under those suits! Of course, anyone is welcome to wear masks if they choose.
