Overall Info The event will be held onsite at the New England Air Museum, 36 Perimeter Road, Windsor Locks CT 06096 Saturday, April 27, 2024; 9AM – 3PM Your appearances will be 9:30AM – 11:30AM and 12:30PM – 2:30PM Check-in/Parking Please arrive to the museum for setup between 7:30AM and 8:30AM. The event will begin right at 9AM. Please see the attached document for parking directions. When you arrive to the museum, there will be an open gate to the right of the building (with signs directing you). Please enter through the gate and park behind the building; staff will be there to show you where to park. Everyone will check in at our Civil Aviation Hangar doors. There will be signs and staff to direct. You will be given a green wristband to indicate you are with the 501st. All volunteers for your group will be admitted for free; any additional guests coming to visit will need to pay admission at the front desk. Note: If you have anyone in your group that will be checking in AFTER 8:30AM, please send me a list of names and I will send further instructions. Lunch Your lunch will be in the B-29 Classroom starting at 11:30AM. Lunch will be assorted sandwiches. There will also be two food trucks on site (Lattitude Pizza Truck and Tacos La Rosa) if you would like to purchase your own food. Event Info Your break area will also be in our B-29 Classroom. There are bathrooms in that area as well. You are welcome to leave your gear there during the event. Volunteers and staff from the museum will also be using this as a break/lunch area. You are welcome anywhere on the museum floor during your appearances! Guests will be in all three hangars. Breakdown The event ends at 3PM, all groups must leave the museum by 4PM as that is when we close. If you have any questions leading up to the event, please let me know. I’d be happy to provide soda and snacks/pizza as well. For changing, we have 2 large single use bathrooms, a break room and a backroom that could all be used. Break room and backroom are steps away from the bathrooms. I Comments: We are a new Barnes & Noble that just opened in Meriden, CT. My previous experience has been an intertwining of books and events, with event management at ReedPOP and Phoenix Fan Fusion (Phoenix Comic Con when I was there). In celebration of May the Fourth Be With You and Revenge of the Fifth, I want to provide crafts, storytimes and other activities including photo ops for customers. Hey all Here are parking details below The list of people that you sent me will drive to the XL Center parking garage, entrance is across from Rocking Horse Saloon on Ann Uccello. There is a guard at the bottom of the ramp, they will get a sticker from them. From there they go up the ramp back on to Ann Uccello and take a right to park in the Church Street Parking Garage. They need to show the attendant there the prepaid sticker to get in for free. They keep the pass in their car and then on their way out they can give it to the attendant to leave. If they park on the third floor of the garage there is a sky bridge that will bring them right into the XL Center Atrium where I can meet them to then bring them down to their spot.
