So our troop is scheduled for tomorrow. I know it's a themed weekend but changing to Sunday last minute can potentially cause a lot of problems with troopers or the Faire Unless it's an official change. By the organizer coordinated through our GEC the troop is 10/7 That doesn't prevent you from going the 8th as well or instead but it wouldn't be as a troop it would be as an attendee unless explicitly changed @Lgrad if you can reach out to the ren faire contact for info that'd be best if weather is an immediate concetn

TK Executioner from The Last Jedi
Backpacks Got Jets replied to Gian Daro's topic in Costume Building
Andy tanski is a good place to start. I believe he built this guy before. Walt may have a kit too. Let's dig -
Mostly assembled. head printed in a couple parts not attached. no backpack. Just collecting dust. Roger has just been sitting in my spare room for like 2 years. If nobody wants him I'm going to dismantle him and use his arm for part of my Jawa kit. IDK how many rolls of filament he's used so far. 100 bucks and he's yours.

Wanted to link the Great Jawa Horde build here in case anyone is an aspiring Jawa. Once you know what you're looking at they're pretty straightforward and a ton of fun Feel free to respond to this thread with Jawa build resources and I'll update the main post with links. Linking here is not a direct endorsement of any seller. just guiding potential jawas to acceptable products for research/build purposes. http://greatjawahorde.com/ is a great place to start to learn the build. OK well here's a good start for general building http://greatjawahorde.com/ Not positive on robe and hood makers but I'll do some digging. dont want to recommend a bad shop. I'm still a fan of making your own. the glory of the jawa is it doesn't have to be perfect. I got my eyes from here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/895192188/jawa-eyes-hook-on-jawa-star-wars-costume?ref=yr_purchases They work great I mount them on the cheapest Jason Voorhees mask amazon had to offer: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00247VY9I?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 I spraypainted the mask black so you couldn't see the white shine through the fabric. Buy some speaker fabric and glue it to the mask . boom black head with glowy eyes. that you can see through Boots you can buy whatever because theyll be covered in monks cloth or burlap The bandolier i got from this guy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1255600045/british-p-1903-leather-five-pocket?ref=yr_purchases Gloves are literally any cloth style black gloves. Whatever off the shelf is fine. You can get underarmor black shirt and pants for the undersuit. It'd be good to have a balaclava or high necked black shirt to cover your neck so you can't see any skin once it's all made. If you want an absolutely banging sound board with jawa noises @Swiftcloud has a design that's absolutely amazing. If you get a sound board, a voice amp is great to have as well. Hope this was helpful!

Are you going to make your own robes or are you looking to buy?
