Starting a Director Krennic build, which has been on my bucket list since Rogue One’s premiere.  I certainly have the hair for it!

I plan on doing both R1 versions (Version 1 and 2) with the cape and the poncho based on the CRL:

Starting pieces are the Imperial Admiral Tunic and Cape from Denuo Nova.

I also have the DN hat with Rogue One Imperial code disc.  

The jodhpurs I’ll reuse from my other officer costumes along with my officer boots (Hessen Antique), belt (WampaWear), and code cylinders (PhiloProps).  I will change the brass clips on the cylinders for the silver ones seen in R1.

The rain poncho I’ve ordered from CrowProps and figure that will come sometime after the new year, so I’ll likely complete Version 1 (cape) and submit first before Version 2 though I’d love to have the poncho version done by the time the St. Patrick’s Day parade rolls around.

For the gloves, I’ve ordered from this seller on eBay based on input from the IOC detachment forum:

Work in progress on Krennic’s non-regulation DT-29 heavy blaster.  I purchased 3dPicasso’s files on Cults3d:

The individual pieces were printed in PLA across two Ender 3s with some of the smaller pieces (trigger and pins) done in resin on one of my Photons.

Assembly required a bit of sanding and trimming to get some of the pieces to fit due to tolerances.  Also, the default model has the scope mounted on the right side of the blaster and that piece needed to be mirrored as Krennic’s is on the left as he uses a left handed cross draw:

There she is ready for sand, primer, and paint! I’m also planning to print the extra ammo cartridges for the belt loops.

Speaking of, I have the DT-29 holster and ammo pouch set from DarmansProps on Etsy and couldn’t be happier.  I have a few of their other holsters and they’ve always delivered a great product.

Finished the DT-29 blaster and pretty happy with the result.  3D printed and finished with a combination of rattle can gloss black and metallic silver and finished with brushed acrylics, washes, and airbrushing. 

 

I’m working on completing the three ammo packs now for the belt.  Here they are printed and primed:
