Oh, it's you. Hello.???
-
Hello and welcome!??????

I feel like Rick just walked in here, slapped his ginormous trading card onto the table, and then left.???
Welcome back. I hope COVID quarantine??wasn't too awful for ya.

I've put myself down for the three Friday shifts and the first two on Saturday. I get out of work at close to 11PM on the Thursday night so I can't promise that I will be there at 9AM sharp (or mostly awake lol), but I will try my best. My costume should??still hold up for the two days but I'm good to wrangle and work the table otherwise.

Hi! I requested the day off from work so I should be able to make it. Please put me down for a TK, but I can wrangle and do pictures also if needed.I realise that I'm super-late to sign up and we've already hit the cap - there are worse problems to have!??I still have the day so I can come and do pictures and pay my own entrance fee if needed.

Ooh, neat idea @BFKN! #7
Quote- what is??your favorite trooping event?
I'm most proud of the "Reach for the Stars"??Pediatric Oncology??Survivorship event we did last year with CCMC. It took a bit of effort to persuade them to give us an invitation, but I had a great time and I feel like we really helped lift some spirits. It was pretty hard not to get just a bit teary when they did the little survivorship walk at the end.
Quote- what what troop are you looking forward to in the future?
I'm sad that we missed the Children's Hospital for May 4th and I hope we get the chance again sometime soon. Both Wishes-on-Wheels and the Pride Parade are sorely missed, too.

As some of you may have become aware (either through the email alerting you to a LXO to LCO confidence vote, or through various social media groups/discussions)??the LCO has been??found guilty of "Conduct Unbecoming of a Trooper" and given a 6 month suspension from the 501st. ??Unfortunately this also means that she is ineligible to hold the rank of Commanding Officer and resigned her position. This process was done with zero transparency and left many people on the Legion Council, including myself, blindsided. Whilst I respect the decision reached by those who oversaw her hearing (of which I know 2 of the 6 personally), this was handled extremely poorly and I have doubts that the charges leveled against her??were serious enough to warrant a trial.
A number of us are currently petitioning the Captain of the Guard for further information. In the meantime I would suggest that each and every one of you vote to confirm Ingeli Hedburg (TI-3893, Dawn's appointed XO) as LCO. When I have more substantiated information as to what exactly happened and the way forward for the Legion I will share it.

As said before, the parade has been postponed by the organisers as a precaution against COVID-19.?? Please do not go to New Haven this weekend. If the parade is rescheduled to a reasonable date (I'm pessimistic it'll be back this year tbh), then we'll see about our entry. Sorry folks.??

Welcome to the CTG.

Sweet! At a Blue-and-Gold troop last year they had ultra-DIY cornhole boards with a Sarlacc Pit design to throw the beanbag into, and I've kinda wanted to make that ever since.

So what are the details for tomorrow night. ??Where to be? Do we need to purchase a ticket? Time to meet?
5PM is when we've been asked to arrive. I'll update the top post. It's a bit later than they originally quoted us.
I'll just quote what I've been told by their manager:
QuoteWe are going to either use the conference room in our offices or one of our main locker rooms [for a changing room]; just waiting to confirm which one is better but either way will be a great spot.?? Let???s plan on for everyone arriving, they can go to the semi-circle in front of the building and then check in with our security guard to get a parking pass.?? They can then come back in the front door once they have parked and will be directed to the changing area.?? I am assuming if we tell everyone 5pm arrival that would work??? We???ll give each one of your members a ticket when they arrive as well, so they can all watch the game afterwards if they want.

Just a reminder to everyone that CT is supposed to be in for a non-insignificant amount of snow tomorrow, and to please make sensible decisions about driving in this weather. If it would be dangerous for you to come tomorrow, please do not make the trip. Trooping is not worth putting yourself potentially in harm's way.??

Thank you @bsands, @Wildcardz, @BFKN, and @MagyarSoldat??for coming this afternoon. Making a good impression with a new contact at the hospital was vital, and they were extremely to happy to have us. Great job troopers!

I had a feeling it wouldn't be an ordinary troop since it sounds like a big event. Maybe I would do better with the NE Space Expo event in April as my first troop?
I could just go to the parade as a spectator with the family to see you guys in action at least.
That's totally fine if you like. We'd??love to have you for the parade though - wranglers are always appreciated. You could help people get suited up beforehand, then march alongside us carrying water and make sure everyone is doing okay. Also, the crowd tends to get a little rowdy sometimes (St Paddy's Day isn't exactly a dry holiday ;)) so you might need to do a small of crowd control. The occasional drunk who really really wants Vader to stop for a picture in the middle of a busy parade. ?
