There is a One-Time Guest Volunteer form (2 sided) which you can find in the Kamino Base Google Drive at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1uqNjaTFpExkeUzhbkuhRfNSLl9Z7OFHZ?usp=sharing. Each ‘guest volunteer’ should arrive with the completed paperwork, documentation of COVID Vaccination and (1) Booster, and documentation of Flu vaccination for this season. Forms should be turned into Sheryl or one of her colleagues. Blank One-Time Guest forms will be available in the Volunteer Office if needed. The most convenient parking is in the Air Rights Garage, 60 York Street, New Haven. The following link will provide help with wayfinding: https://www.ynhh.org/locations/new-haven-20-york-street.aspx (scroll down to parking and select Short Term Parking). Please park on level 4, 6, or 8 for a cost of $1 per hour. You will use your garage entry ticket to access one of these levels. Parking on any other level will result in a higher fee. Covered pedestrian connections to the hospital can be found on floor 2 and 4 of the garage. Though you will not be provided a volunteer uniform or ID, you will still be representing our organization. Please help us to create a great first impression for patients and families by following our Standards of Appearance: please no jeans, shorts, short skirts, or sandals. For health & safety reasons please no artificial nails or strong scents (perfume/cologne etc.). Any guest who is sick should remain home. Regarding story time: Usually the group activity is 45 min-1 hour and then the remaining time can be for those who may need visits in their room. The 10:30-12 window is meant to include getting ready, story time, and getting ready to leave. We will adjust future timing if needed depending on what we learn from this visit. This event is open to the public, and serves 800-1200 visitors annually.We've worked with the CT Garrison for the past several years and would love the opportunity to bring them back again this year. From Event organizer: Overall Info The event will be held onsite at the New England Air Museum, 36 Perimeter Road, Windsor Locks CT 06096 Saturday, April 15th, 9AM – 3PM Check-in/Parking Please arrive to the museum for setup between 7:30AM and 8:30AM. The event will begin right at 9AM. Please see the attached document for parking directions. When you arrive to the museum, there will be an open gate to the right of the building (with signs directing you). Please enter through the gate and park behind the building; staff will be there to show you where to park. Everyone will check in at our Civil Aviation Hangar doors. There will be signs and staff to direct. You will all be given gold wristbands. Note: If you have anyone in your group that will be checking in AFTER 8:30AM, please send me a list of names and I will send further instructions. You all will be in our B-29 Classroom for setup/breaks. We will have snacks, water, etc. Lunch We will have lunch set up for you in the B-29 classroom like we did last year. Event Info Your appearance times are 9:30-11:30 and 12:30-2:30. I have you on the map but you certainly don’t need to stay in one place! It is $7 cash to park and we will reimburse them for that fee.?? Comments: Another Star Wars night request sent in by LFL. We did this one last year and it was a great success! This one is on a weekday (Thursday) and will be joining our friends with the Rebel Legion / Kessel Temple / Saber Guild. Lets do our best to get some troopers over to this one! This concert is a tribute to John Williams. The second half of the concert will feature the symphony Williams wrote to accompany the newest film trilogy.
