I will happily arrange a walk through of the venue so you and your group can see all the accessibilities including bathroom(s) and areas to relax away from the event. There will be food available by the restaurant on site. There will be a free breakfast before the venue opens to the public.
Comments: The Quiet Corner Sci-Fi & Comic Experience is a one-day event for fans of Science Fiction, Anime, Comics, Video Games, and anything that may classify as "General Nerdom"!??The Quiet Corner of Connecticut first experienced the highlights of Science Fiction and Comic Fandimonium in January, 2020 just weeks before the year seemed to take on a Sci-Fi vibe all on its own! At the first ever Quite Corner Sci-Fi & Comic Experience, residents from Northeastern Connecticut and the surrounding communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island were able to meet with fan groups from major movie and television franchises, as well as talk one-on-one with Comic creators, authors and publishers. Fans of CosPlay were able to walk around showing off their style and were given a rare opportunity to talk with professional CosPlayers!??This event is hosted in the Historic Grosvenor Room and the Pomfret Room at Grill 37 at 37 Putnam Road in Pomfret, Conn. A video game Arcade is also set up in the Pomfret Room, which is accessible through the hallway that connects the room to the bathrooms.??The Quiet Corner Sci-Fi & Comic Experience came about as an effort to shine a light on what's fun in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut and give its fans an experience that is truly out of this world!??

This is??right near where I live. Michelle and I drove by the place once to see what it looked like. It???s a smaller venue, kinda tucked away in the woods. The structure looks as though there might be some stairs to climb, although I have been told there is another way to enter with no stairs required. Maybe I can go check it out a bit closer and get some more details???

I attended this con with Saber Guild last year! There is a ramp you can use to enter the venue. Really minimal stairs.??It is on the smaller side. It's got a small ballroom, then a grill/restaurant, which then leads to a porch space where all the fan groups were set-up last year. SG will be attending again this year and running a panel that 501 is more than welcome to join.

Johnna and I signed up for this. We will give it a try. I don???t really anticipate a high turnout considering the rural location, but it???s close to home so we will be there. I don???t think we will be able to stay all day but we will be there. Also, my friend Dean (the guy from NEG, working on Vader costume) should be with us and can wrangle.
