  1. I have thought about it. The last time I used it though I don???t know that I mixed it right. Kinda gave me feelings of uncertainty when using it. I???m thinking of playing with filler primer and sanding that as well. After looking at the crls for the shadow, I am having trouble determining the required length of the staff and blade. Couldn???t see any info on it. I may just post to the SP discussion boards for that though. The blade and electronics for it will have to wait though on this as I figure the best course of action in how to do it. I have to shop around for the blade and electronics after I get the measurements down
  2. While I wait for Walt & Co to work on my armor, I have something to pass the time by for the next couple of weeks. Behold, parts to a saberpike. This is going to be a lot of work sanding the print lines down
  3. I'm back in the fold. Just ordered the WTF Shadow Guard kit. Now to look for the soft parts and the saber pike
  4. Well it would be wonderful if that were the case. I have to either find the specific pike or model it. Up side is that if anyone were to offer their services, I have an unopened??spool of black abs they can have.
  5. Ok thank you. I looked at it the instruction, but sometimes i read things funny so I just wanted to make sure. Ive only seen one vendor that does the ROTJ pike and he's quoting 250 total. And atm, my printer has decided that it isnt going to work ever again so 3d printing a pike is out of the picture. Other than that, I'm just waiting for imperial boots to open up to order the soft goods
  6. So here is a question I feel I know the answer to but want to clarify. I see the force pike under optional equipment in the rotj crl. If I were to be approved without the pike, and added it later, would i have to get reapproved?
  7. And it seems to me that Rubies fully understands that we use these for 501st costumes because they prepare the visor for removal.
  8. Pulled the trigger today. Ordered my helmet and will post pics on friday
  9. Me too. I getting a little nervous. My printer doesnt want to behave... Prints keep shifting, layers not adhering. Granted its an old scrappy printer, but it was going strong for a while there. ??
  10. So its been a while. I finally got around to commencing on the guard project, and have been in the planning stages for a couple of weeks now. while I wait for the funding and an opening in the imperial boots wave( cause the two never seem to coincide with each other for me) I will be starting on the Kir Kanos build. Slowly and Steadily, I am gathering what I need to get going.?? After posting on the Sovereign Protector boards, I think I have the go ahead to use my 3D models to print my armor, helmet and Belt items. I just purchased 2 yards of red vinyl to use to make my boots, belt and bodysuit accent pieces. I am also currently in the process of Finalizing my glaive.?? Here are the models I will be using to print my armor.?? Reference Pic ?? and model ?? The final printed pieces will me modified in post production to better represent the reference photo.?? but I think this could be a good start. If the printing process fails, I will switch to sintra and work from there.?? the only other things I have to speak of at the moment are the helmet and DH17. If anyone has a guard helmet I can try on, I love the opportunity. If not, I have the pep files I can put together and get the size I need to 3d print the bucket for use. As for the DH17, what is a good cheap source for these???
  11. Roger that. I just got my access to the forums this week. I am aware the helmet issues and while I thought about using pepakura, I decided against it. The project hit a major roadblock this week as I lost my income and my girlfriends income was cut in half along with a bunch of other kicks in the teeth.
  12. Good to know. Ive tried asking on the detachment boards but I don't have access. It doesn't seem to be a well trafficked site unless they hide things from guests. I requested access 2 weeks ago I think and still haven't heard back and I cant message the admin through the site.?? ?? ahhh my bane..... I have a hard time with fiberglass but can do it. I am trying to stay away from fiberglassing to cut down on weight, but I will most likely end up using the method as I am going to have to sculpt everything myself unless I find the Pepakura files for the armor. If I can find those, then I will be converting the files to .stl and 3d printing them
