  1. Purchased the Galactic Armory files for Crosshair and did a rough scaling using Armorsmith (great system for 3D printing armor). I am planning on going back and remeusaring/creating a new model (the old one being based off of measurements from over a year ago). Other parts that I plan on ordering include boots from crowsprops, along with a stormtrooper style neck seal because of the ribbing. Will also need to slice the backpack and figure out a harnessing system to offer decent support. The belt I am planning on making from leather while using the included files to make the holster. As of now I am waiting on my new order of filament to arrive along with some upgrade parts for my printer. Really looking forward to hearing advice/any need critiques!

Apologies, can't make this event. Best of luck!

Gonna come for 10:00 but I'm going to head to the Bristol event for 3:00
  4. Heard some discussion about adding some St. Patrick's Day flair to armor. Was thinking of making the armored pieces of Rex's pauldron green white and orange to resemble to tricolor flag. Wanted to make sure that would be allowed before showing up! If not, my armor is already the color of County Cavan's flag!
  5. Clones can be somewhat of a big project, but it is all about how you approach building one. After doing a bit of digging into their etsy/activity on the Clone Trooper Detachment they seem rather new with most of their sales/reviews within the last year. I know that Galactic Armory who also 3D prints/sells files has their models set for approval (given they are properly finished) but cannot find anything on whether their files are. (Assuming you are going for approval). The only image I could find of what they are saying is one of their clones is of a ROTS style Phase 2 501st Clone Trooper and comparing the helmets it appears that theirs is slightly off around the visor with it having an animated style visor with a realistic style helmet. (The difference is in the angle of the corners along with how tight the peaks are to the brow but please correct me if it would be okay for approval). However, this doesn't line up with another photo they had posted earlier of a raw print of their phase 2 clone helmets so that would make me uneasy. I'd highly recommend going to the Clone Detachment Forums (https://501stclonetroopers.com/forum/) and asking some of the members there for their opinions.
  6. Link to the discord channel has expired, any chance I can get an updated link? Thanks!

I'll be able to go as Rex
  10. Heres a quick overview of where everything is at right now.
  11. Will do! I appreciate it!
  12. Hey all it's been a minute! A little update of what I've gotten with Rex and a (hopeful) timeline of things to come! 1) Got an Imperial Surplus helmet in and have fully put it together, just waiting on some good weather to actually paint 2) All the seams have been touched up on the rest of the suit, also waiting to paint 3) Planning on ordering Crowprops boots by the end of next week, and hoping they'll arrive around May-June 4) Still have to get the holster straps set up, along with putting some padding inside the holsters themselves to prevent damage to the pistols 5) Recently acquired a 3D printer so I am planning on printing some new pistols since my old ones have seen better days. Hoping to get everything together around June and send in approval pictures. Looking forward to finally getting this project done so I can move onto the next one!
  13. I appreciate all of these! Sorry for the late replies school has been keeping me busy! I'll probably set up a WIP thread when I am on winter break and can actually work on my kit/have access to my tools. Again, thank you for all of the information!
