  1. Event is confirmed. Please note the arrival time of 11:00AM to be ready in costume by 12:00PM, ending at around 2:00/2:30PM. That will give anyone interested in making the Mystic event straight afterwards time to make the drive up the coast.
  2. Example of the certificate: If you are an approved member of the CTG and you would like a digital copy of your "Certificate of Membership", please make a post in this thread stating the following information: Full name ID# and prefix at time of approval Date of approval. Exact day is preferred (you should have gotten a welcome email from the 501st on that date) but otherwise just a month and year. If you were approved in the last 2 years I can use the correct signatures for CO??(Sarah Bailey or myself) and GML (Andy Tanski or John Hajnal). If you were approved before that, the current CO and GML will be used. Please check your post a short while after providing your information - a link to .pdf copy of the certificate will be embedded.
  3. Please welcome??Quentin Salgado??@Iconic_ctinferno??(TX??37053),??to the ranks of the 501st and??CTG!??Quentin has been a recruit for some time and has finally finished his Del Meeko build. He has also been doing a good deal of our PR-related tasks behind the scenes this year.??I can't wait to see his awesome costume in action next weekend.
  4. It should be - I'm waiting on a response from the event host to confirm the timings. Considering we're also going to be at Mystic that evening, I figure 12pm - 2/2:30 is probably a good timeslot. When I get the email back we can move it to confirmed.
  5. You got a pic of the helmet glossed up? It looks beautiful in the pre-gloss pictures.

  16. Thank you for your post, @Kaipurrr.This is something Sarah and I have spoken about this a few times of the course of the last year or so. Here are the pros and cons for merging as I see them. Pros: Greater available pool of resources, both human (as potential staff members and prop-makers) and physical resources (props, table displays, printed materials, etc). Having experienced hands around (that want to get involved) getting people trained and enthusiastic about supporting the Legion is important.?? Better social integration between groups. I know when I started with the CTG I wasn't really made aware that there existed a group in the rest of New England, and certainly wasn't encouraged to socialise outside of the Garrison. This is especially the case with regards to the Rebel Legion and the Mandalorian Mercenaries Costuming Club. A wider range of interesting events for CTG members to be aware of and get involved in, especially in southern MA and in RI.?? Cons: Our branding (what we have of it), name, and organisation would change drastically. We'd obviously be using NEG branding, would have to change our name to reflect a downgrade in status, and we'd lose much of our autonomy to staff our own operations and produce merchandise. Reverting to a squad means we lose 2 voting seats on the Legion Council. Right now the CTG is ridiculously over-represented for our relatively small size - Andy and I are full voting members, and Sarah (as a non-voting representative of the First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment) is also present. We effectively have more eyes on the discussions right now than most Garrisons many times our member-count. We'd also be dealing with the associated politics and drama of another group that we're mostly unfamiliar with. I'm good enough friends with plenty of NEG people to suspect we'd be welcomed, but there's still some uncertainty there. Speaking as our Commanding Officer, if there was a desire to integrate in the future, I would be open to exploring it. There are some aspects of our current operation that I feel are not sustainable and we would benefit from the additional resources integration would bring. Preserving our identity would be foremost on my mind, however. ?? I'd like to think that we live in a different time now than we did when Connecticut split many years ago.
  17. Oh god yes please. Do want. Welcome, by the way.
  18. I suggest checking with the NEG in their signup thread.??
  19. Tomorrow! I may or may not need to shim my armour to account for the incredible amount of ice-cream I will be eating.
