  1. My my, how time flies when you’re busy with life, the universe, and everything. Well, the gloves are done and the armor was a pain in the fingertips to sew on. I have one of the shoulder plates attached and hopefully by the end of the night (as of this post) both will be on and ready for weathering.
  2. Are we going out anywhere for food afterwards?
  3. I’m going to try to make an appearance. That weekend is going to be really busy for me.
  4. I’ll plan on the TIE Reserve/Officer for whichever shift has the highest turnout and I’ll bring my gunner for the other half. If there’s any anti aircraft weapons, I may need a picture or two of me manning them.
  5. Signed up for both shifts. I can also wrangle if needed.
  6. Photo dump of some work done in the last few days.
  7. So the number to match is 12+… I can’t wait to see this completed and watch the build process
  8. I don’t have a 3D printer, so probably buying
  9. Currently looking for either an ESB blaster or (preferably) a DLT-19 for my snowy. I kind of like the idea of being the heavy weapons guy for this build, but I will certainly take what I can get.
  10. I added some literal dirt to the straps and it definitely added some grime. At the time of posting this, were expecting snow in the next few days, so I may take them out for a walk
  11. After many attempts, hopefully these pants are dirty enough. As Jim had said and I’m agreeing with him, no one realizes how dirty a snowtrooper actually is. These pants have been sprayed with a tea and coffee mixture, smacked on the driveway, covered in dirt and silt from work, have had said silt and dirt rubbed into the materials with my nasty work hands, AND for good measure I used them to wipe the excess dirt off the trunk of my car. Here are the before and after shots. I may need to do a bit more, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
  12. I didn’t get anything with my gunner, so I’m just erring on the side of caution
  13. Deal! Do you also have the red greeblies for the chest armor? I can compensate you accordingly
  14. I remade the straps with a different material and they definitely look better than these
  15. until

I know we have limited space at the table, but do we want the Alderaan shard there to draw in some more interest?
  16. It’s not a proper troop if you don’t have your navigator 😁
  17. until

I’m looking forward to getting my gunner out there in the wild!
  18. I ran out of material right before I could do the last strap, but overall, I think it looks pretty okay.
  19. Well the armor bug has finally bitten and bitten hard. The next project will be a snowtrooper. I’m hoping to get the boots done by the end of the weekend. My pants have been ordered and hopefully, by the time this gets attention, the beginning phases of the duster will be underway. I will say this about the boots, they are probably the most comfortable pair I own now and those liners are wicked cozy! I kind of want another pair just for winter hikes and snow removal. I’m feeling a little more confident on the armor build side after doing the gunner (even though it was just the helmet) and hopefully things will go well.
  20. Who made that man a gunner? I did, sir. He’s my cousin! Welp, here’s version two (of six) of the Gunner. I’m awaiting the shipment of my bib to finish off the ANH version that I want to do. But in the meantime, I’ll be satisfied with the ROTJ look.
  21. I’m currently down for TIE reserve, but it doesn’t look like we have much in the neighborhood of Imperial armor in attendance. If my gunner is approved by then, I’ll change it to that.
  22. I’m so glad that I had an extra light kit for my com box. I pulled the switch out of the connector port and for some reason the blue led completely burned out as a result. Once the humidity drops outside, I’ll take the helmet out and spray on the final layers of paint and install the com box and permanently attach the visor lens.
  23. Do you know what this current stage and Phantom of the Opera have in common? I’ve passed the point of no return. The rivets are in and the com box is on for placement. I need to place that on and install the mounting bolt and drill a hole for the electronics. It’s almost there and I’m feeling accomplished. Thank you to those of you who have been pushing me forward while making this and Ezra for your words of encouragement and motivation. Believe it or not, they’ve been a huge help.
