Alay Posted November 9, 2018 Author Share Posted November 9, 2018 Now... for the secret sauce of my build... THE SHOCK COLLAR! Of course being a loser, he gets it blown up... ?? I took some extra 1.5" black leather I had.?? Added stitch channels for it, and stitched a felt lining inside (so it's not painful/rough on the inside)??and snaps as they appear on the comic I also added a cap rivet for a bit of flare on the buckle area ?? ?? Jodo seems to have a little greeblie or extra bit, so I cut that approximately out of leather, and cap riveted it to the center ?? Okay, now... I needed a way to easily attach it to my girth belt, but be able to take it off without too much hassle.?? My solution; an elastic strip, cap riveted on one side, with a rare earth magnet stitched on the other ?? Now it loops nicely, and can be pulled off with ease ?? Finished piece ?? Now I have a board that does the number and the whirly line like ROTJ Fett, which is most accurate for a Fett Clone-wannabe ?? However, the best I ever see in the comics is what looks like 4-5 red squares on both Kast and Fett.?? This could be due to artist resolution... Higher res ?? Do ya'll reckon replicating this comic-style is worth the trouble??? I have to re-write the CRL to make my kit even approvable since the current version is completely different and made up stuff.?? I think I'd propose a comic-style one for a "higher level" whether I follow it or not. I was thinking about the push buttons because it is more in keeping with the comics.?? Visually I prefer the numbers/light display the ESB/ROTJ Fett has, and I think that's what the artist was intending in the comic (but low resolution + limited space + etc means it's hard to draw, so here's some red boxes, close enough!).?? So, do I build something I visually like less because it's arguably more accurate? I don't think a prototype of it would be too hard to make to see what it looks like however. People are going to confuse me for Fett either way.?? I would think that he was implying that the same numerical/symbol method as used by other mando suits are considered the norm. But it is only??inferred, according to the pics I???ve seen. I don???t think anyone would say that it is not accurate if you chose either a clearly distinguishable display or symbolic blocks of red lights. If you already have the display, I would just use that. Maybe place a Fresno lens between it and the armor to sort of ???fuzz??? the look of it? 2 Link to comment

Learned some stuff.?? Namely, even thought the weight sucks a bit, and I have a huge jetpack to worry about, and it's a lot more cumbersome, it's STILL so much more comfortable than a stormtrooper! I also learned my belt setup doesn't work at all, despite a couple of attempts.?? I need to combine it into one belt with straps or something, otherwise it sits stupid on me (see photos below). My knees need something to keep them up in addition to strap and padding... maybe a snap or lock or something, I dunno.?? Any ideas? I feel like my collar is shaped weird.?? Might hit it with a hammer a bit. The clothears stuff fits awesome though.?? It's so damn comfy and nice fitting I can't rave about it enough.?? While having to underscale most everything due to my small size, it's nice to have something that feels made to fit. ?? ?? ?? ?? Okay! Just gotta do the hoses on my gauntlet, glue on some shoulder studs, sew my gloves together, and add some sort of working light behind my chest plate hole, and I think this costume is ready to sit unapproved for a long period of time while I try to convince the BHG to let me update the Jodo CRL.??
