Convention ComiConn 2018 At Foxwoods - 06/30/18 10:00 AM to 07/01/18 06:00 PM

It's that time of year again!?? ComiConn is returning to Foxwoods from June 30 to July 1!

This is one of the CTG's biggest events every year.?? If you haven't ever attended one before, this would be a fantastic time!??

We'll be hosting our Blast-A-Troop charity event as we have in years past, with event proceeds going to NAMI.?? If you're wearing a full helmeted character you'll be able to participate!

Please RSVP to the event if you're attending, and POST BELOW on which shift(s) you'll be attending!

• Shifts last 3-4 hours each.
• You're expected to be DRESSED AND READY at the start time, so come early!
• You're expected to STAY AT THE TABLE or move around the venue as discussed on the day.?? Do not leave the table to check out the convention during shift time!
• At the end of your final shift for the convention, please return your entry badge to a wrangler or command team member.?? We may need to distribute these to other troopers.

Children are welcome to come costumed but must be attended!?? Remember this event gets very busy at times.?? The above rules for being on time and staying at the table apply!

Last year we also had some issues getting blasters in past security.?? Please set blasters at the bottom of your bins, add orange tape to the tip, and don't bring anything too menacing.?? You may be asked to return them to your car or room

We'll also need folks willing to volunteer their time on Friday Evening (June 29) to help us move and set up our props!?? If you're staying at the casino it would be extremely helpful.??

I'd definitely recommend getting a room if you're gonna be there multiple days. Hopefully this year I won't be hospitalised and miss the first day. ??

I???m planning on being there all day Saturday and most of Sunday so I???ll be open to trooping a couple shifts Saturday and in the am Sunday. Just need to make sure I eat lunch. ??So maybe 10-1 and 4-7 Saturday and the am shift Sunday. If I can get there Friday evening I can help as well but I don???t have a place to stay yet Friday so that???s TBD.

Hate to rain on everyone's parade but the event threads are made for discussion about event details, not policy details.

@Alay??I'll be there with the V group all day Saturday and I'll be doing things with my daughter on Sunday. I might be able to do the table table for 2hrs on Sunday but can't do the full 4hrs. I'll know more about my schedule as the event gets closer.??
